LITTLE ITALY COLMAR

We had a wonderful meal at Little Italy in Colmar. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. A big thank you to the waitress, who was very kind, smiling, and professional throughout the meal. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The pizza and pasta were okay.

Asian looking server is ignorant. Gave menu after 10min of waiting. Accepted orders and gave service to all tables around while we waited to order. She didnt came to take our order, so we left :)

During our visit to Colmar, we paid a visit to this little place. We started with a delicious glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. All four of us had ordered pasta dishes. My partner's and children's pastas were tasty. I had the pasta with truffle and Parma ham. The pasta was al dente and the ham was very tasty. The downside for me was the sauce: too little truffle flavor, barely thickened or not thickened at all, and lacking in seasoning. I must confess that I have eaten better on many occasions. Conclusion: 3 satisfied people and 1 person with higher expectations.

I ordered a Mexican pizza to take away, and to my surprise, it didn't have any ground beef on it when I got home. So I checked the website, and it clearly stated that it was supposed to be included. I called the restaurant in Colmar to ask, and they told me they were out of ground beef. I waited outside for my pizza; I was never informed of this when I ordered, during preparation, or when they brought it to me. I find this unprofessional and dishonest of you. I only received an apology over the phone. A gesture of goodwill could have been made, especially since it's a key ingredient that was missing, and you knew it but didn't inform the customer. Be honest.

A nice casual place for dinner in a quiet part of the city away from the busy crowds. Food was good along with service.

Little or no Italian.

Food: traumatic, no hyperbole. Pizza was cooked in skillets, rather than in an oven. This resulted in a blackened underside and undercooked crust. The dough was tasteless and lacked pizazz (pizza-pun intended). The bolognese and pesto were close to an olive oil consistency, and not in a good way! When two of us finished our pasta’s, we were left with brightly colored orange and lime-green grease. Unacceptable! Additionally, the penne were cooked in such a way that the pasta tasted of cornstarch and baby-proofed food (i.e. cooked NOT al dente). Another couple refused to pay for their food at just the sight of it, and we regretted not doing the same after having finished our meals. The transaction with an older, witch of a woman server was especially unpleasant. She snapped at us when we were trying to pay at the counter. We are providing you with YOUR salary madam, not the other way around. In conclusion, I hope to discourage any person from visiting this restaurant. This restaurant has to be some sort of social experiment on Italian cuisine.

Fine pizza and good service.

Food: terrible. Everything was drenched in grease, only from a glance at the menu I got spontaneous acne. The pizza was made in SKILLETS. Yes I repeat, SKILLETS, not an oven or pizza oven. The pasta bolognese was 50% sauce, 50% bright, radio-active orange grease. The pasta tasted cheap and off-brand. The expensive machinery in the windows are deception at its finest, so future customers do not be fooled. Service/Ambiance: a couple refused their food because, similar to us, their food was close to inedible and definitely not something to waste calories on. The waitress, an older lady, started to argue with them. When we (though barely) finished our food and wanted to pay, we walked to the countertop, after which the same waitress yelled: “This is not McDonalds! You pay at the table!” The food, service and ambiance were that terrible - a disgrace to Italian culture and heritage - that it is still a running inside joke in our family. Every time we visit another Italian restaurant, we joke that it can never be as bad as Little Italy Colmar.

Nice atmosphere and a very professional and friendly young waitress... Unfortunately, the pizzas weren't to our liking at all: very few toppings and rather average quality; we didn't like the crust. We didn't ask the staff for feedback because tastes vary, every pizza has its fans, and that's perfectly fine. This is simply our opinion, among others, to help future customers decide whether this pizzeria will meet their expectations.

Pasta sauces were watery and lacked taste. Aubergines in the pasta were not prepared well, had a rubbery consistency. The tomate sauce was very bland. Truffle sauce was very bland and the truffles in the sauce did not taste fresh. The pasta itself seemed to be the cheapest kind. Very disappointing overall. I could've cooked a better meal at home. Please put a little more effort in your cooking, it's not that hard to make a good pasta dish.
