Restaurant La Romantica

We were looking for a good place to have dinner as a family, so we went into this restaurant. First, we were asked to go outside and wait, even though the restaurant was completely empty. A few minutes later, they finally seated us… at the very same table we were originally going to sit at. The waiter brought us the menus before disappearing for a good six minutes. When he finally returned, it was only to ask if we wanted drinks. We told him we preferred to order our food directly. He then disappeared again for what felt like an eternity—enough time for a bike ride from Strasbourg to Colmar. We wanted to stay positive, so I put my phone on the table with the stopwatch. Strangely enough, the waitress arrived shortly after. Seeing the stopwatch, she snapped, “Oh no, you don’t use a stopwatch!” in such a haughty tone. She then went and told her colleague as if they were the victims, even though I would have had time to go into the kitchen, prepare my meal, eat it, go home, and go to bed before anyone even thought about taking care of us. Simply appalling service. It's blasphemy!

I ordered a Caprese salad and an Exotica pizza, but I ended up receiving a Caprese pizza instead. The waiter admitted he misunderstood the order and apologized, but didn't even bother to replace it. My partner had to get up to ask for the salad we had ordered from the start. When it came time to pay the bill, I asked where the pizza we had been charged for and then cleared away was, so I could at least eat the salad. I was very disappointed by the waiter's incompetence and the lack of consideration shown for his mistake. Fortunately, a waitress took over with great kindness and professionalism. The food was still excellent.

Pizza was good but very little seafood on top. Service could have been quicker.

I can not give a review for the food, because it did not appeared at all. So instead, i will rate the service and how the waitress understood what i ordered. I ordered a 4 season pizza and I told her that I need to leave soon and she assured me that it’s okay and the pizza will arrive in 15minutes. After 30 minutes I went inside the restaurant to ask her if she can bring me the 4 season pizza and she looked at me instead she understood that i ordered 4 cheese pizza:). I was like..okay, if you maybe are not sure of something or whatever you can ask again, it’s that simple. I am not writing this with bad intention, I just want to bring awareness for the management that maybe there are not enough employees for how crowded the restaurant was.
