Saigon - Traiteur Vietnamien

We ordered takeout and wanted to sit down while waiting for our companion, that very rude bald employee sent us away just because we ordered “takeaway”. Ruined our whole Colmar trip. Food was okay.

This restaurant does not deserve to be called Vietnamese cuisine. The pho broth is completely bland and lacks depth of flavor. The beef is extremely tough and has a dry, almost paper-like texture. The nem (spring rolls) are very thin, with the wrapper loosely rolled and almost no filling inside. They are also not crispy at all. In addition, the portion sizes are very small and not satisfying. The only positive aspect of the experience was the friendly and attentive service from the staff.

Better than expected. The pho was rich and flavorful—perfect for a cold day. Pairing it with a Tsingtao beer made the meal even more satisfying. 🍜🍺

It's unclear why the restaurant has so many negative reviews, but my lunch experience here was quite good. The menu isn't extensive, but it includes all the basic, typical Vietnamese dishes like pho, rice, vermicelli, spring rolls, etc. The prices are also quite reasonable compared to other restaurants and eateries. The quality isn't exactly delicious, but it's decent, not bad at all. 24 euros for two dishes is okay. The staff were especially enthusiastic and friendly. We were a group of three, but we only ordered two dishes and took a pizza tarte flambée from the neighboring restaurant to eat at the restaurant. We asked the restaurant beforehand, and they happily agreed.

I think this place at least soothed my upset stomach a bit. But I accidentally forgot to ask them to leave out the cilantro. T_T If you can't eat cilantro, make sure to mention it when you order. The noodles were a bit soggy, maybe because they were busy, but it's okay for a meal in this neighborhood.

Excellent caterer. We ordered the vegan bun and it lived up to our expectations. The ingredients were high quality, the vegetables fresh, and the sauce light. The waiter and chef were perfectly pleasant, and the shaded terrace was well located. I highly recommend it!

Authentic Vietnamese food. Just that the rice is a little soft to my liking.

We were really looking forward to a delicious Bo-Bun, but oh no! The wine was the same! Only the young waitress was nice! The rest, frankly, wasn't worth the trip! What a shame...😪
