Cafétéria Colmar

We like to come here for lunch and a pizza. It's a cafeteria, so we don't expect luxury, obviously, and we're usually not disappointed. We tried the burger for the second time. Once again, disappointment. The bun wasn't toasted, the cheese barely melted, and the onions, which are part of the recipe, weren't even grilled. What a shame, because every ingredient tastes good, but they weren't cooked properly. And by the way, the person behind the grill wasn't very friendly (a woman). Anyway, a real shame.

It's June 16th, 11:15 AM. We want to get a crepe for our son, but the blonde woman with glasses, who's been complaining non-stop for the last 10 minutes with her friend at the counter, brushes us off and tells us to come back at 11:30 for our crepe. What professionalism! If she doesn't like her job, she should find another one.

The best crepes in the history of crepes. Gigantic crepes smothered in Nutella and inexpensive. If I could have given 6 stars, I would have.

1. Waiting too long, not enough staff to serve the pizza. 2. "Assiette de légumes" contains also meat. At least label it.

A very bad experience today at the Carrefour Houssen cafeteria. There was clearly a problem with the organization and management of the service. There were three of us, and the food didn't arrive at the same time. While some were eating, others were still waiting for their orders. Furthermore, when we finally received our food, the fries weren't even pre-cooked. We still had to wait for them to cook, which meant the food got cold in the meantime. We also sensed significant tension among the employees, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. A very disappointing experience today.

I ate there today. Only one of the two registers was open, there was a huge queue, and the food arrived hot and cold when we sat down because the cashier was very slow. While there are microwaves available, the point isn't to have a cold meal when you leave the register, as this is supposed to be fast food. There was a lot of tension between the staff, who clearly have a management problem and should be focusing on customer satisfaction. I'm reluctant to give it one star because the food wasn't great, but everything else needs improvement. I won't be going back anytime soon.

I wanted to leave a very positive review for Chloé at the Cora cafeteria. She made me a crepe perfectly suited to my diet, which isn't always easy, and she did it with great kindness and professionalism. Very welcoming, smiling, and attentive, she really takes the time to do things right and satisfy her customers. Honestly, we need more people like her! Thanks again, Chloé, for your excellent service! 👏

Hello, we came yesterday at lunchtime and ordered two pizzas. The pizza maker was friendly and smiling, and we enjoyed the pizzas. We've been here several times for pizza, but yesterday's pizzas were the best I've ever had. I commend the charming pizza maker, who is simply incomparable to other pizza makers. We'll be back for pizza on our next visit.

All-you-can-eat mussels and fries night this Thursday, March 19th… or not really. It was barely 7 pm, and already a rude awakening: not a single mussel left. Many customers (including me, who was planning on having a generous helping) were left high and dry, empty plates in hand. Worse still, many customers were left without even being able to taste them 🥶 by 7 pm. A disgrace to the restaurant's logistics. Especially since there were very few people in the restaurant – frankly, hardly enough to be overwhelmed! How can you organize an "all-you-can-eat" event and not be able to deliver? That's the whole point, isn't it? The worst sales pitch ever: "Come back next Thursday…" Seriously? Is that all they could come up with? And to top it all off: the mussels were of poor quality: they were tiny and a good number were empty. In short, a completely disastrous evening, saved only by the fits of laughter and cutting remarks exchanged between frustrated customers. We left hungry… but at least we had a good laugh about the situation. Next episode: shall we try a different restaurant? 😅

Honestly, there have been better times at the cafeteria. We ordered two salads this time. The terrines are, of course, not homemade and not good. I ordered two hard-boiled eggs—inedible! Like rubber! It's cold in the dining room, and the floor is frankly filthy! The corners haven't been cleaned in ages.

We came for lunch as a family. We arrived at 1 p.m., and I decided to order a salmon poke bowl, a children's menu for my daughter, and fried chicken with a side for my partner. Unfortunately, my partner had to eat his sides cold because we waited over 15-20 minutes for my daughter's burger to be heated up. Having only one person serving burgers and grilled food is really insufficient, especially considering how busy the place was. I must commend this person, who remained very friendly despite the understandable impatience of some customers. Once seated, I was quite pleased with my choice of a cold dish, as my partner's had completely gone cold. But the taste of the poke bowl was a total disappointment. It was bland, tasteless, and there wasn't even an option to add soy sauce. The mango was overripe, and the rice wasn't the right kind for this type of dish. I don't appreciate waste, but it was impossible for my partner and me to eat more than half of our meals, even though we were hungry. The only positive point is the price of the children's menu and the composition of the children's menu with drink and dessert.

My husband and I stopped there for a quick bite. Unfortunately, they were out of burger buns, so we opted for marinated chicken fillets. A big thank you to Bryan, who was very friendly and professional and prepared them fresh for us since they were also out. It's a shame the sides (vegetables and fries) were barely lukewarm and rather bland. His colleague at the till was also very pleasant. It's nice to see smiling and friendly staff.
