An incredibly kind restaurant owner! He opened his restaurant to help us out on May 1st and saved our evening! And he did it again the next day, satisfying our craving for ice cream! The pies are excellent! A huge thank you to you 🙏😊

I love the place, it's good and friendly

A lovely little restaurant! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the owner, a smiling and very helpful man. He manages both the service and the kitchen equally well, making the experience even warmer and more authentic. The food is delicious, and you can tell everything is homemade. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of what's served. It's a place where you feel comfortable, almost like you're at home, and you'll definitely want to come back. An ideal spot to spend a great time with friends or family without breaking the bank!

I'm not a restaurant expert—but someone who knows the local restaurants—it's been a long time since I've had such a good rump steak (at the listed price!), and my wife had a tarte flambée that wasn't dry (as is so often the case). And if anyone finds me a bottle of Lambrousko for €10, let me know—I can't wait to go... but I don't want to go more than 30km from Illhaeusern. Anyway, we'll be back.

Having eaten there regularly, I've never been disappointed by the food or the service. The owner puts his heart and soul into satisfying his customers, and it shows in the dishes. A small, friendly place with lovely decor and a great atmosphere. Perfect in my opinion.

The decor is great, the Ribeaupierre burger is delicious! Plus, the restaurant offers karaoke entertainment, for example.

Another restaurant pro who was probably selling appliances two weeks ago… €15 for the set menu (starter, main course, dessert). It's the same price if you only order the main course, makes sense, right? The service was a complete mess. The tables weren't ready, there was still a cigarette butt and a used napkin on the floor (inside), and no glasses… No more beer on a Tuesday at lunchtime? The keg was empty… So they don't know how to manage their stock. A supposedly simantal steak? Let's just call it shoe leather, and they didn't even ask how we wanted it cooked! A deviled egg as a starter with crudités? We received half a tuna egg with two lettuce leaves and no dressing… the bread looked like it had been stale the day before, cut with a laser… When it came time to pay the bill, there were four of us, the owner didn't know what we had ordered, and charged my colleague the full amount even though we had asked to split it… In short, 12 customers in the restaurant, a disastrous experience… it would be better to leave the restaurant closed.
