La Cocotte Rouge

Passing through the region, what a wonderful discovery! The setting, the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff – everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

The vol-au-vent was swimming in an ultra-thin sauce. The dumplings, however, were very good. The baeckeoffe was a bit bland and needed more onions. The burger was very good. The carpaccio was very good.

Excellent place. Very friendly staff. The food is very good, and the atmosphere and decor are very pleasant.

We came for dinner as a couple and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. To begin with, the Picons were neither fizzy nor frothy, which wasn't very pleasant. I then ordered a fondue. The first surprise: it was listed at €22 online, but €25 on the restaurant menu. I had also ordered a charcuterie platter as a side dish, but it was forgotten. I had to ask for it when I was already well into my meal, and I ultimately decided to cancel it. Furthermore, there was no bread with the fondue. I had to ask for more, but the pieces brought were much too large. I had to cut them myself, even though it was bread meant for fondue. My wife had ordered vol-au-vent. They arrived before the spätzle, which took a very long time to be served. Meanwhile, the dish sat there, swimming in its sauce, which made it soggy. As for dessert, the chocolate fondant was overcooked. My wife ordered a vacherin glacé, served with whipped cream on the plate and in a small pot on the side, without any explanation, which we found odd. Finally, we had to wait a long time to pay the bill, as there was no one at the register. In the end, between the oversights, the long waits, the inconsistencies in the prices, and several disappointing dishes, this experience unfortunately doesn't make us want to return.
