Les Douceurs de Christiane Aurelia

This place is a RACIST establishment. The French woman was holding a full plate of cheese & sausage samples calling out to passerbys asking them to try her samples. My parents and I (Asian) stepped up interested but another (white) man happened to step in front and took a sample. The shop woman then purposefully held her sample plate back behind her out of reach and ignored us in favour of speaking to the man. She just kept talking at the man telling him the cheese was cheap, he was only nodding his head so it wasn’t even conversation between the two (yes I understand French as I studied it for 11 years so I knew what was being said). We stood there for a couple of minutes until it was clear that the shop woman wanted us to leave since she wouldn’t even look at us or acknowledge our existence in any way. So we just left. There’s no need to be rude for potential paying customers and this racist store clearly needed business as it was completely empty. The samples didn’t even look that good, we only went over because she kept calling out and no one was going over. Well obviously she only wants a “certain kind” of customer even when the store is devoid of any customers.

They have quite tasty gingerbread cookies, but they're overpriced due to the influx of tourists. The village is beautiful and very well-maintained, with a castle on the hill behind it and numerous sloping vineyards where they produce quality wine. It's worth coming for a stroll, but not much else.
